Leslie graduated with an MSc. in Biomedical Communications from the University of Toronto in 2008. The topic of her Master's thesis was the development a novel learning tool, based on video gaming heuristics, to simulate interaction with laparascopic equipment. The goal was to communicate both the 3D spatial anatomy of the lung and the mechanisms of the movement of an endoscope to residents learning bronchoscopy.
